Techniques I Offer:
Deep Tissue Massage
Not necessarily using deeper pressure, but instead more specific pressure. Deep Tissue Massage can relieve chronic shoulder, neck and back pain as well as symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, whiplash, migraine headaches, postural distortions and repetitive stress syndrome. Deep Tissue is especially helpful to those who rely on their body on a daily basis for work, such as students, musicians, athletes and artists.
Hot Stone Massage
Promotes deep relaxation through the use of hot Basalt rocks, which penetrate healing heat deep into the muscle tissue. This work is divine, and melts away tension like butter. It’s a perfect treatment for the cool winter months. The Hot Stones can be incorporated into other treatments, just be sure to request before the day of the treatment. Unlike other practitioners; I did not order my rocks off of the Internet, instead I was able to collect my own silky smooth Basalt rocks on a marvelous beach!
Arvigo Techniques Maya Abdominal Massage™
This technique is a non-invasive, external massage technique. It guides internal abdominal organs into their proper position for optimum health and well-being. Maya Abdominal Massage improves organ function by releasing physical and emotional congestion from the abdomen. This technique is effective for both men and women. See the next page for more information on this modality.
Stress and anxiety take a serious toll on the central nervous system. Craniosacral Therapy works to calm the central nervous system and to balance and regulate the rhythm of the craniosacral fluid which flows through the brain, spine and sacrum. After receiving this modality, one’s nervous system is calm and serene to say the least! Anyone who has troubles with thinking too much, nervousness, anxiety, headaches, migraines, or head traumas can especially benefit from this work. The client can stay fully clothed to receive this work. For more information go to www.upledger.com.
